Set Up Size Recommendations

Size Recommendations helps a shopper compare measurements they enter with the product’s size chart after a successful try-on.

Before you start

For each product, confirm that:

• Try On is enabled;
• Shopify contains the correct size variants, or the product is genuinely one-size;
• you have the merchant’s real size-chart measurements;
• size labels, units, ranges, and regional systems are accurate.

Configure a product’s size chart

1. In Shopify Admin, open Looksy, then select Products.
2. Select the product name to open its configuration.
3. Open Size recommendations.
4. Select Scan for size charts to look for an existing chart in the product data, or select Edit size chart to enter the chart manually.
5. Review the measurement unit, the measurements used, every size label, and every range. Enter only measurements supplied by the merchant.
6. If Looksy shows Needs review, choose the Shopify option that represents the product’s purchasable size.
7. Select Save changes.

Turn on the shopper feature

1. In Looksy, open Settings.
2. Select Features.
3. Turn on Recommend sizes from my size charts.
4. Review the Storefront button label. The default action is Find my size.
5. Select Save.

The action appears only after a successful try-on and only when the current product has an available size setup.

What shoppers experience

1. The shopper completes a photo or Live Video try-on.
2. They select Find my size, or the storefront label you configured.
3. Looksy requests only the measurements relevant to that product’s chart and lets the shopper choose centimetres or inches.
4. Looksy compares those measurements with the chart and displays a size suggestion with a confidence level.

One-size products can return their configured one-size label without asking for measurements. After a shopper submits measurements, Looksy can save a size profile for that store and visitor. On another eligible product, Looksy can reuse the saved measurements and preferred unit to prefill the form or show a new chart-based recommendation without asking for the same values again. The saved profile does not change how the recommendation is calculated: each result still comes from the current product’s reviewed size chart. It is not inferred from the shopper’s photo. The profile is stored against a hashed visitor identifier and can include the body measurements the shopper entered, their preferred unit, and the latest recommendation. A size profile becomes eligible for removal after 180 days without an update. Looksy’s retention action includes these profiles, but it defaults to dry-run and requires deletion mode to be enabled for physical removal. Explain this data use in your storefront privacy notice, review the current Looksy privacy policy, and contact support for the effective cleanup schedule before making a customer-facing retention promise.

Exact Shopify variant selection

In Advanced size variant mapping, you can turn on Select the exact available variant. When Looksy can prove one exact, currently available Shopify variant, it preserves the shopper’s other choices—such as colour or fit—and selects that size. It never substitutes a different colour, fit, audience, material, region, or other option. If the mapping is ambiguous, the variant changed, the exact variant is unavailable, or the theme cannot confirm the selection, Looksy fails safely: it shows the recommended size label and asks the shopper to choose it manually.

Troubleshooting
