How do I install Looksy?

Install Looksy from the Shopify App Store and enable its app embed once in the theme you want to test. On eligible product pages, Looksy then places the Try On button over the main product image automatically.

1. Install the app

  1. Open the Looksy Shopify App Store listing.
  2. Select Add app.
  3. Review the permissions and installation information in Shopify.
  4. Complete the installation and open Looksy.
The current Preview plan is free and includes 25 credits. Confirm the offer shown in Looksy before choosing a paid plan.

2. Enable the app embed

  1. Open Online Store → Themes in Shopify.
  2. Choose the theme you want to test and open Customize.
  3. Open App embeds.
  4. Enable Looksy and save.
You do not add a Looksy block to every product template. The app embed activates the automatic product-image button and preview experience across the theme.
Use an unpublished or development theme for initial testing when your workflow allows it. Theme compatibility should be verified before publication.

3. Test representative products

Check several products and variants rather than a single example. Verify that the button appears over the main product image, the preview returns to that image area, and instructions, image selection, processing, failure, retry, and product-state behavior all work.

4. Test mobile and desktop

Use representative browsers and devices from your store analytics. Test camera permission, existing-image upload, slower connections, and responsive layouts.

5. Review before launch

  • Product and variant behavior is correct.
  • The theme layout remains usable.
  • Shopper expectations are clear.
  • Performance is acceptable on representative devices.
  • Products that do not provide a suitable experience are excluded.
  • Analytics and support processes are ready.
