Virtual try-on in Polish
Polish is one of the 47 languages enumerated on Looksy's App Store listing. For Shopify merchants selling to Polish-speaking shoppers, this page explains what is published, what is not, and how to verify the flow.
Polish shoppers and your product pages
Polish is the language of Poland, written in the Latin alphabet with a distinctive set of diacritics — ą, ć, ę, ł, ń, ó, ś, ź, ż — that not every web font handles gracefully. It is also heavily inflected: nouns change form across seven grammatical cases, which makes word-for-word machine translation of interface strings easy to get wrong. Formal address uses Pan and Pani rather than a simple pronoun swap. All three properties are reasons to read any third-party text on your product pages in full, not skim it.
What Looksy's language support covers
Polish appears in the 47 languages enumerated on Looksy's listing. The listing stops short of saying what that covers in depth — whether the shopper-facing widget is translated, the merchant dashboard, or both — so the honest position is: verify first, promote second. The Free plan makes this a zero-cost exercise: unlimited try-ons, so you can run the Polish flow on your own store and judge each string, including how it handles Polish inflection. The try-on result itself is an image, and it carries the message regardless of language.
Setting up for Polish-speaking shoppers
Set Polish in Shopify's store language settings, then add the Looksy block from the theme editor — it is a theme app extension, so no theme code is edited and uninstalling leaves your theme untouched. Test with the Free plan before you tell anyone the feature exists: upload a photo, complete a try-on, and inspect the microcopy — button labels, the upload prompt, the result screen. Pay particular attention to the diacritics: if your theme's typeface substitutes a fallback font for ą or ł, it shows, and shoppers notice.
The try-on flow in any language
Underneath the interface language, the flow is fixed. One photo uploaded by the shopper, a result on the product page in around 20 seconds, no app installation, no account, no camera permission. Shoppers can retry, give feedback, and download or share their image. Plans span Free — unlimited try-ons, Looksy branding, $100 additional-revenue cap — Starter at $14.99 per month, Growth at $29, and Scale at $79, which unlocks realtime video try-on and removes the revenue cap. Billing is usage-based via Shopify, with no contracts attached.
