Virtual try-on in Czech

Czech is one of the 47 languages enumerated on Looksy's Shopify App Store listing. This page is for merchants selling to Czech-speaking shoppers: what is published, what to verify, and how to set up.

Czech shoppers and your product pages

Czech is the official language of the Czech Republic and an official language of the European Union. It is written in the Latin alphabet with heavy use of diacritics — the háček in č, š, ž, ě, and ř, plus acute accents marking long vowels. The letter ř is famously distinctive to Czech. Like many European languages, Czech separates formal address (vykání) from informal (tykání), so store copy should commit to one register. Czech and Slovak are closely mutually intelligible, which is worth knowing if you also sell into Slovakia.

What Looksy's language support covers

Czech is among the 47 languages enumerated on Looksy's Shopify App Store listing. How deep the translation goes — shopper-facing try-on UI versus the merchant dashboard — is not published, so the honest move is to check it yourself. The Free plan makes that cheap: set your storefront to Czech, run the try-on as a shopper would, and read every prompt and button before you advertise the feature. And because the output is an image of the shopper in your product, the most persuasive part of the experience carries no language at all.

Setting up for Czech-speaking shoppers

Add Czech as a published language in Shopify's settings, then place the Looksy try-on block using the theme app extension; there are no theme code edits, and removal is clean. With the Free plan's unlimited try-ons, test the full path in Czech from product page to result. Watch the diacritics specifically — some webfonts ship without proper ě, ř, or ů glyphs and silently substitute a fallback font, which looks broken to native readers. Check the button microcopy, any error states, and labels that might truncate.

The try-on flow in any language

In Czech or any other storefront language, the published mechanics do not change. One uploaded photo produces a try-on result on the product page in about 20 seconds, with no app, account, or camera permission required. Shoppers can retry, give feedback, download the image, or share it. Plans: Free with unlimited try-ons and Looksy branding, up to $100 in additional revenue; Starter at $14.99 per month; Growth at $29; Scale at $79 with realtime video try-on and no revenue cap. Billing is usage-based through Shopify, with no contracts.
