Virtual try-on in Catalan
Catalan is listed among the 47 languages on Looksy's Shopify App Store page. For merchants serving Catalan-speaking shoppers, this page sets out what is verified, what is not published, and how to check it yourself.
Catalan shoppers and your product pages
Catalan is spoken in Catalonia, the Valencian Community — where the official name of the language is Valencian — the Balearic Islands, Andorra, parts of southern France, and the Sardinian city of Alghero; Andorra is the only state where it is the sole official language. It uses the Latin alphabet with a full set of diacritics, including the cedilla in ç and the distinctive interpunct in words like col·lecció. For a Shopify store this is low-friction territory: no script or direction issues, just fonts that must render those diacritics correctly and copy that respects regional naming.
What Looksy's language support covers
Catalan is one of the 47 languages enumerated on Looksy's Shopify App Store listing. The listing confirms the language is on the list and nothing more granular — the split between shopper-facing try-on interface and merchant dashboard translation is not published. Rather than infer, verify: the Free plan costs nothing and includes unlimited try-ons, so switch a test view to Catalan and read every string a shopper would see. The try-on output itself is a visual — the shopper wearing your product — so its persuasive work happens without translation either way.
Setting up for Catalan-speaking shoppers
In Shopify's admin, add Catalan as a published store language if your theme supports it, then add Looksy's block from the theme editor — it is a theme app extension, so there are no theme code edits and uninstalling leaves nothing behind. Test on the Free plan with real product pages. Check that accented characters and the l·l interpunct display correctly in buttons and compact microcopy, where font substitution shows up fastest. If you sell into the Valencian Community, also review your surrounding copy for naming — shoppers there may expect the language to be called Valencian.
The try-on flow in any language
The shopper-side flow is identical across all 47 languages: upload one photo, see the result on the product page in about 20 seconds, with no app, no account, and no camera permission. Built-in retry, feedback, download, and share follow. Plans move from Free — unlimited try-ons with Looksy branding and a $100 additional-revenue cap — to Starter at $14.99 per month, Growth at $29, and Scale at $79, where realtime video try-on becomes available. Billing is usage-based through Shopify, and there are no contracts to sign, so a Catalan storefront test is cheap to run.
