Does virtual try-on work with my Shopify theme?

Theme app extension versus pasted code
There are two ways a Shopify app can get onto your product page. A theme app extension appears in your theme editor as a block you position, and Shopify keeps it isolated from your theme files. The older approach asks you to paste a snippet into your theme’s Liquid, which means you are editing files you will later have to unwind by hand. Looksy uses the extension route.
What to check on your own templates
Most stores end up with more than one product template — a default, and often variants for sale items, bundles or a specific collection. Enable try-on and then open one product from each template you actually use. It is the fastest way to catch a page where the block was never placed.
If your theme is custom or heavily modified
Theme app extensions are supported by Online Store 2.0 themes. If your theme is older or has been rebuilt in a way that removes app block support, that is worth confirming before you plan a launch around it. A quick check in your theme editor — whether you can add app blocks to the product template at all — answers it in a minute.
What uninstalling leaves behind
Because the extension is not written into your theme files, removing Looksy from Shopify removes it from your product pages. That is worth verifying for any app you trial: install it, remove it, and confirm your product page looks exactly as it did before.
