How much does virtual try-on cost on Shopify?

What you are actually paying for

Most try-on apps meter usage rather than seats. A credit is one generated try-on, and your plan includes a fixed number each month. The free plan has unlimited try-ons. Paid plans include 100 photo try-on credits on Starter at $14.99, 300 on Growth at $29, and 600 photo or video credits on Scale at $79. Pass the allowance and you pay per extra try-on rather than jumping a tier: $0.14 on Starter, $0.12 on Growth, $0.10 on Scale.

The number that matters more than the price

The sticker price is less useful than your cost per try-on at real volume. Divide the plan price by its included credits, then check the overage rate, because a store running 900 try-ons a month on a 600-credit plan is paying the plan plus 300 overages. Estimate your volume from product-page sessions, not from the plan names.

Where the published prices stop

Not every app in this category publishes a price. Some list a contact-sales flow, and some quote setup or onboarding separately from the monthly fee. That is not automatically worse, because managed onboarding is genuinely valuable for some catalogs, but it does mean you cannot compare on price until you have had the call. To evaluate before talking to anyone, start with the apps that publish.

What free actually gets you

Looksy’s free plan needs no card and gives you unlimited try-ons, with Looksy branding on the widget and attributed revenue capped at $100. Paid plans remove the branding and add size help, bundles and email capture. Running it across your own products is the only test that settles anything.
