What happens if I run out of try-on credits?
You keep going at your plan’s overage rate rather than hitting a wall: $0.14 per extra try-on on Starter, $0.12 on Growth and $0.10 on Scale. Moving up a tier is the other option, and it is not always the cheaper one.
Overage rather than a hard stop
Running past your included credits does not switch the feature off. You pay per extra try-on at your plan’s rate and the month continues. That matters most in the month you least expect it — a product goes unexpectedly well, traffic spikes, and the feature keeps working instead of quietly disappearing from your product pages.
When moving up actually saves money
This is arithmetic on the published rates, and it is worth doing before you upgrade out of habit. Starter is $14.99 for 100 credits with $0.14 overage, so about 100 extra try-ons brings the month to roughly $29 — the price of Growth, which includes 300. If you are regularly past 200 try-ons a month, Growth is the cheaper answer.
Where the same arithmetic says stay put
Growth to Scale runs the other way. Growth is $29 for 300 with $0.12 overage; Scale is $79 for 600 with $0.10. Running the two curves against each other, Growth plus overage stays cheaper until somewhere around 1,300 try-ons a month. Below that, upgrading costs you money. Check your own numbers against the current rates rather than taking this on faith.
Check it monthly, not once
Try-on volume moves with your traffic, your merchandising and your season, so the right plan in March is not necessarily the right plan in November. A two-minute look at last month’s usage against the tier table is enough, and it is the kind of thing nobody does until it has cost them twice.
