How do I write product pages that pair with try-on?

Let try-on answer “how does this look on me,” and let copy answer what it cannot: fabric, fit, materials, care. Then add one plain line near the widget: one photo, a result in about 20 seconds.

Split the job between copy and the widget

A try-on result shows a shopper the item on their own body, which retires a whole category of product copy. Lines like “imagine how this looks on you” or long descriptions of drape and silhouette are now doing work the widget does better. Redirect those words to what a generated image cannot convey: fabric weight and composition, stretch, lining, hardware, care instructions, and the occasions the piece suits. The page reads cleaner, and the two elements stop competing: the image answers appearance, the copy answers substance, and the shopper gets both without scrolling through filler.

Set up the widget with one working sentence

Shoppers meeting try-on for the first time need mechanics, not persuasion. One sentence in your page copy near the block covers it: upload one photo and see this item on you in about 20 seconds, with no app, account, or camera permission. That addresses the two common hesitations, effort and commitment, in the shopper’s own reading flow. Keep this sentence in copy you control on the page; how much of the widget’s own text you can edit is worth checking in the app’s settings or documentation before you plan around it.

Write fit notes that back up your size chart

Looksy’s Size Help draws on the size charts you provide, so the chart now does double duty: shoppers read it, and the sizing feature depends on it. Keep it complete and current for every product, and back it with short fit notes in the copy: runs small, true to size, order up for a loose fit. Garment measurements help shoppers who trust centimeters more than size labels. A try-on shows how a piece looks; the chart and fit notes carry the sizing decision, so treat them as part of the product page, not boilerplate.

Close the loop near add to cart

After a shopper sees the result — and possibly retries, downloads, or shares it — the questions that remain are practical: what is this made of, when does it arrive, what happens if it does not work out. Answer those in short lines near the add-to-cart button instead of burying them in tabs. If you run Looksy’s Bundles and Upsells, use copy you control to say why each paired product belongs with the main item; a stated reason beats a bare product card, and whether the bundle block carries its own editable text is worth checking in the app. That copy finishes the job the try-on started.
