How do I read my try-on funnel?
Looksy's analytics track three steps: what shoppers try on, what they add to cart, and what they buy. Read them in order — each gap between steps shows where shoppers lose interest or conviction, product by product.
The three steps Looksy tracks
Looksy's analytics report three things: what shoppers try on, what they add to cart, and what they buy. Those three numbers are your funnel. Try-ons are the top — the results shoppers generate on a product's page. Add-to-cart is the middle — shoppers who continued after seeing themselves in the product. Purchases are the bottom. Reading them in order shows where interest turns into intent and where intent turns into revenue, product by product. Nothing needs to be layered on top before this basic read is useful.
Where drop-off tells you something
The gap between steps is the signal. Many try-ons but few adds to cart suggests shoppers saw the result and were not convinced — check that product's images against Looksy's published guidance, since clear, product-focused photos generate the best results and full garment views beat cropped shots for apparel. Adds to cart that never become purchases point past try-on to the rest of your buying flow: price, shipping, payment options. The funnel narrows where to look; it does not diagnose checkout problems on its own.
Compare your own products, not industry benchmarks
Looksy publishes no benchmark rates, and a "good" try-on-to-cart rate in one store or category may not transfer to another. The honest comparison is internal: rank your enabled products by each funnel step and look for outliers. A product whose try-on-to-cart rate sits well below your own median is worth investigating — image quality, sizing confusion, price. Track the same three numbers week over week so you can tell whether a change you made actually moved a step, instead of guessing against figures no one has published.
Acting on what the funnel shows
Turn each read into one change, then re-measure. Few try-ons is a visibility problem — check where the try-on block sits in your theme editor and whether it appears on the products you expect. A weak middle step is often an image problem — reshoot toward full, product-focused views. For shoppers who try on but leave, Looksy's email capture, included from the Starter plan up and working with Klaviyo or Shopify Flow, gives you a follow-up path. Start on the Free plan's unlimited try-ons so the funnel has data before you pay for anything.
