How do I QA try-on before a big campaign?

Run the full flow yourself: complete a try-on on every campaign product from phone and desktop, confirm block placement and photo quality in the theme, check credit headroom, and know where shopper feedback surfaces before traffic arrives.

Run the flow yourself on every campaign product

Before the campaign goes live, open each campaign product page and complete a real try-on: upload a photo, wait the roughly 20 seconds a result takes, and look at what comes back. Do it from a phone and from a desktop, since shoppers will arrive on both and the flow needs no app, account, or camera permission either way. Retry a couple of times per product and use the download and share options so you know exactly what a shopper sees. Fix anything odd now, before the campaign spend starts.

Check block position and product photos in the theme editor

Open the theme editor and confirm the Looksy block sits where campaign traffic will actually see it on the products you are promoting — the block is positioned there, with no theme code involved. Then hold the campaign products against the published photo standard: clear, product-focused images generate the best results, and full views beat cropped shots for apparel. A campaign product page with a cropped or cluttered hero photo undercuts result quality for the whole campaign. Swapping a photo before launch is cheap; discovering the problem mid-campaign is not.

Give yourself credit headroom before traffic lands

A campaign concentrates try-ons into a short window, so check your position against the published numbers: Starter includes 100 photo credits, Growth 300, and Scale 600 photo or video credits, with additional credits at $0.14, $0.12, and $0.10. On the Free plan try-ons are unlimited, but its $100 additional-revenue cap is what a successful campaign will hit. Estimate demand from the product-page traffic you expect and the take-rate you have already seen on your own store — Looksy publishes no benchmark take-rates, so your history is the only honest input. Billing is usage-based through Shopify with no contracts, so moving up for a heavy month is routine.

Know where feedback and retries will surface

Shoppers can retry a try-on and leave feedback on results, and during a campaign that feedback is your early-warning system. Before launch, find where feedback appears in the app so you are not hunting for it on day two, and check the analytics view that shows what shoppers try on, add to cart, and buy. This page is pre-flight, not measurement — evaluating whether try-on is working is a separate exercise from confirming the flow is sound before you spend on traffic. QA answers one question: will a shopper who taps the button get a good result.
