How does Looksy work with Klaviyo?
Looksy’s Email Follow-Up feature collects shopper emails and works with Klaviyo, so you can follow up with shoppers who tried a product on but did not buy. Email capture is a paid feature: it is listed on the Starter plan, not the Free plan.
What the integration is for
A try-on session is a stronger intent signal than a product page view: the shopper cared enough to upload a photo and see the product on themselves. Looksy’s listing describes the integration plainly — collect emails and use Klaviyo or Shopify Flow. The point is that a shopper who tries on a product can leave an email address, and that contact becomes something you can act on in Klaviyo, the platform many Shopify stores already run flows and segments from. Without it, try-on interest evaporates when the tab closes; with it, you have a reason and a way to follow up.
Plan requirements before you connect anything
Email capture is listed as a Starter-plan feature — $14.99 per month, alongside bundle offers, unlimited size help, and removing Looksy branding. The Free plan’s feature list does not include it, so if follow-up email is the main reason you are installing Looksy, budget for a paid plan. The listing does not spell out exactly where the email ask appears in the shopper’s session, so run a try-on on your own store and watch for it. The surrounding flow is documented: shoppers upload one photo and see the result in the browser, with no app download and no account required.
What to verify in Klaviyo before building flows
The listing confirms the integration exists; it does not publish the plumbing. So test it on your own store before you build anything. Run a try-on with a fresh email address, then look in Klaviyo: does a new profile appear, which list or event does it arrive through, what is the metric named, and which properties come with it — ideally the product that was tried on. Check how consent is recorded too. Klaviyo distinguishes subscribed profiles from merely collected ones, and that distinction — plus the marketing rules in your shoppers’ regions — decides who you can actually send to.
Flows worth building first
Start with try-on abandonment: a shopper tried a product, left an email, and has not purchased after a set window — send one message that names the product they tried. From there, segment by try-on activity to separate high-intent shoppers from cold subscribers, or suppress recent try-on shoppers from generic campaigns and send them product-specific messages instead. Measure orders from these flows against a no-email baseline where your volume allows, since Looksy publishes no benchmark numbers to lean on. If you would rather keep automation inside Shopify, the same Email Follow-Up feature also works with Shopify Flow.
