</Warning>

## Why Track Conversions

Conversion tracking proves the business value of virtual try-on by measuring:

* Sales attributed to try-on
* Revenue impact
* Return on investment
* Customer behavior patterns

## Automatic Tracking (Built-In)

Looksy tracks conversions automatically when installed. **No additional setup required.**

### What's Tracked Automatically

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="Try-On Events" icon="camera">
    Every time a customer uses virtual try-on
  </Card>

  <Card title="Product Views" icon="eye">
    Product page visits on try-on enabled products
  </Card>

  <Card title="Add to Cart" icon="cart-plus">
    When try-on users add products to cart
  </Card>

  <Card title="Purchases" icon="check">
    Completed orders from customers who used try-on
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

### Attribution Model

**Last-touch attribution within session:**

* Customer uses try-on on Product A
* Customer completes purchase within same session
* Order is attributed to virtual try-on

**Attribution window:** 24 hours

* Customer uses try-on today
* Customer returns tomorrow and purchases
* Order is still attributed (if within 24 hours)

<Note>
  Looksy uses conservative attribution. If customer doesn't purchase within 24 hours, the order is not attributed to try-on.
</Note>

## Viewing Conversion Data

### In Looksy Dashboard

1. Go to **Looksy Dashboard** in Shopify admin
2. Navigate to **Analytics** tab
3. View conversion metrics:
   * Conversion rate
   * Revenue impact
   * Orders attributed to try-on
   * Average order value

### Key Conversion Metrics

**Engagement-to-Purchase Rate:**

```
(Orders with Try-On / Total Try-Ons) × 100
```

Typical range: 20-30%

**Conversion Rate Lift:**

```
((Conversion Rate with Try-On - Baseline Conversion Rate) /
 Baseline Conversion Rate) × 100
```

Target: 15-25% lift

**Revenue Per Try-On:**

```
Total Revenue from Try-On Orders / Total Try-Ons
```

Use this to calculate ROI per engagement

<Check>
  These metrics appear automatically in your dashboard once customers start using virtual try-on.
</Check>

## Integrating with Google Analytics

### Set Up Enhanced Tracking

For deeper analysis, connect Looksy events to Google Analytics:

**Step 1: Verify GA4 is Installed**

1. Check if Google Analytics 4 is set up on your store
2. Find your Measurement ID (G-XXXXXXXXXX)

**Step 2: Enable GA4 Integration in Looksy**

1. Go to **Looksy Dashboard → Settings**
2. Find **Google Analytics Integration**
3. Enter your Measurement ID
4. Click **Save**

**Step 3: Verify Events are Tracking**

1. Use GA4 DebugView or Realtime report
2. Test try-on on your store
3. Check for these events:
   * `looksy_try_on_start`
   * `looksy_try_on_complete`
   * `looksy_add_to_cart`

### Custom Events Sent to GA4

| Event Name | When it Fires | Parameters |
| ------------------------ | ------------------------------ | --------------------------------------- |
| `looksy_try_on_start`    | User clicks "Try On"           | product\_id, product\_name              |
| `looksy_try_on_complete` | User sees try-on result        | product\_id, product\_name, time\_taken |
| `looksy_add_to_cart`     | User adds to cart after try-on | product\_id, product\_name, value       |

<Tip>
  These events allow you to build custom funnels and segments in Google Analytics for advanced analysis.
</Tip>

## Integrating with Facebook Pixel

### Track Try-On Events in Facebook

**Why track in Facebook:**

* Optimize ad campaigns
* Build custom audiences
* Track ROI from Facebook ads

**Setup:**

1. Verify Facebook Pixel is installed on your store
2. Go to **Looksy Dashboard → Settings → Facebook Pixel**
3. Toggle **Enable Facebook Tracking**
4. Events will automatically fire

**Events sent to Facebook:**

* `ViewContent` (with try-on flag)
* `AddToCart` (when try-on user adds to cart)
* `Purchase` (when try-on user completes order)

**Custom parameter:**

```javascript theme={null}
{ try_on_used: true }
```

Use this to create audiences of "customers who used virtual try-on."

## Shopify Analytics Integration

### Looksy Data in Shopify Reports

Looksy automatically tags orders that came from virtual try-on:

**Order tag:** `looksy-try-on`

**Use in Shopify:**

1. **Orders report:**
   * Filter by tag: `looksy-try-on`
   * See all orders attributed to virtual try-on

2. **Customer reports:**
   * Identify customers who use try-on
   * Analyze lifetime value
   * Build segments for marketing

3. **Product reports:**
   * See which products drive most try-on sales
   * Calculate revenue per product

<Check>
  No setup required – orders are automatically tagged when customers use virtual try-on before purchasing.
</Check>

## Advanced Tracking Scenarios

### Multi-Product Try-On

**Scenario:** Customer tries on 3 products, purchases 2

**How it's tracked:**

* All 3 try-ons are counted
* 2 orders attributed to virtual try-on
* Revenue from both orders is counted

### Cross-Session Tracking

**Scenario:** Customer tries on today, purchases tomorrow

**How it's tracked:**

* If within 24-hour attribution window: Order is attributed
* If beyond 24 hours: Order is not attributed (conservative approach)
* You can adjust attribution window in settings (Pro plan)

### Partial Cart Try-On

**Scenario:** Customer has 3 items in cart, used try-on on 1

**How it's tracked:**

* Entire order is attributed to virtual try-on
* AOV may be higher than product try-on value
* This is normal and expected behavior

<Note>
  Attribution is order-level, not product-level. If try-on contributes to a purchase decision, the entire order is attributed.
</Note>

## Setting Up Conversion Goals

### Define Your Goals

**Recommended goals:**

1. **Engagement goal:**
   * Metric: 35% of visitors use try-on
   * Timeframe: Within 90 days of launch

2. **Conversion goal:**
   * Metric: 15% conversion rate lift
   * Timeframe: Within 60 days of launch

3. **Revenue goal:**
   * Metric: \$10,000 additional monthly revenue
   * Timeframe: Within 6 months

4. **ROI goal:**
   * Metric: 5x return on investment
   * Timeframe: Within 3 months

### Tracking Progress

**Weekly check:**

* Are you on track to hit monthly goals?
* What's blocking progress?
* What can be optimized?

**Monthly review:**

* Did you hit goals?
* What worked well?
* What needs improvement next month?

## Cohort Analysis

### Compare Customer Segments

**Segment 1: Customers who used try-on**

* Conversion rate
* Average order value
* Lifetime value
* Return rate

**Segment 2: Customers who didn't use try-on**

* Same metrics for comparison

**Typical findings:**

* Try-on users have 15-25% higher conversion
* Try-on users have 5-10% higher AOV
* Try-on users have 20-30% lower return rate
* Try-on users may have higher LTV

<Tip>
  Export cohort data monthly to track long-term value of try-on users.
</Tip>

## Troubleshooting Tracking Issues

### Conversions Not Being Tracked

<AccordionGroup>
